Jasmina Kallay

Biography:
Since completing an M.A. in Screenwriting at the National Film School in Ireland, Jasmina has been working as a script consultant and editor for a number of production and broadcasting companies in Ireland and the UK, as well as developing her own screenplays. Jasmina is currently involved in PhD
research of screenwriting practices in New DigitalMedia (web series, computer games, interactive film) and is a visiting lecturer on a number of film and digital media

M.A. courses as well as teaching Screenwriting and Intersections in Digital Media and Film at University College Dublin.


Camera & lightning

Mark Moriarty DoP


Biography:
Mark has very much taken the traditional route to being a cinematographer. Working his way through the camera department from trainee in 1981, through 2nd and 1st A/C and then operating, he became a DOP in 2002. He has worked with some of the best directors in the business, from

Ken Russell and Franco Zeffirelli to Lars Von Trier and Paul Greengrass.

Nikola Vukcevic, film director


Biography:
(born 1974. in Podgorica, Montenegro),
stage and film director, independent producer since 1995, member of Film board of Montenegrin National Academy of Science and Arts (CANU), and professor at national

Faculty of Dramatic Arts – Cetinje. Also, Artistic director at City theatre Podgorica, since 2004.

Experience:

- As artist of multimedia film and theatre directing education, Vukcevic is director/author of around 70 projects (in feature films, theatre, documentary films and videos, advertising production: clips, commercials, music videos...):

- One feature film (A VIEW FROM THE EIFFEL TOWER), projected/participated at many respectable world film festivals (from St. Petersburg to Canada and USA, from London to Ljubljana and Marbella...)

- Documentary videos for institutions in Montenegro (Unated nations in Montenegro, Law Faculty, Machine Faculty, Artikulacija doo, sity of Bijelo Polje, ...) and for independent productions (KANA – 60 minutes documentary about Roma population: their customs and gender policy, their problems and philosophy about woman; produced by Obala – Podgorica and Media center Belgrade, directed by N. Vukcevic)

- Twenty half–an–hour documentaries on First Channel of national Montenegrin TV CG (and on its Satellite channel), with topics as: biography, social problems, poverty, gender...

- More than 30 TV advertising production: clips, commercials, music video...
- Eight feature short movies and one TV film (shown on many festivals and televisions inside country and abroad), and

- Ten theatre performances, multiawarded (shown on Balkan respectable Theatre festivals: Budva Theatre City, Infant, Exit, TIBA, etc.)

He has been awarded with many national and foreign awards. He was assistant of director in many theatres and supporter of director in around ten movie (film) projects (multiawarded) in Balkan states.

He is Professor of Film history and University lecturer of Directing in Movie (Film) at Faculty of Drama Arts – Cetinje (Montenegro). Also, Vukcevic is at position of Artiostic director (Art manager) of the City theatre Podgorica (Gradsko pozorište Podgorica).


Branko Istvancic, director

Biography:
Branko Istvancic was born in Subotica. Graduated film and TV direction in 1999 at Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb capital of Croatia. Making his first, documentary films on 8 mm camera at 15
with his first Hungarian

film teacher Zoltan Siflis from Subotica, he has continuously been involved with documentary films and has received Croatian as well as international rewards for his work - The Grand Prix at Croatian Short and Documentary Film Festival, "Oktavijan" and "Zlatna Uljanica" being among them. His student short fiction Saying Goodbye / Rastanak was included in the New Direction programme of The First Film Foundation in London, a selection of six outstanding films by promising European directors. Deeply enrooted in the Croatian documentary tradition, he pays special attention to the humane, but also humoristic, treatment of his subjects. His successfully film, Wellman / Bunarman (2003), continues this tradition, and elevates the simple story about a well digger to a level of the universal metaphor, but without the pretentious nature of many Croatian documentaries. The critics consider his film The Cormorant Scarecrow / Plasitelj Kormorana (1998) to be one of the best Croatian documentaries of the nineties. His debut The Ghost in the Swamp (with a large number of spectators in national cinemas in 2006) has been chosen to mark the comeback of feature-length films for children, which have not been made by the Croatian film industry for the last twenty years. He is member of Croatian Film Director's Guild.


Irena Skoric, assistant

Biography:
Irena Skoric was born in Zagreb, Croatia. She studies film and TV directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. She writes for film magazine “Hollywood” and “The Croatian Cinema Chronicle”. She directed a number of short feature, documentary and experimental films. Her films have participated in numerous local and international festivals (France, Austria, Czech Republic, U.S.A., Switzerland, Netherlands, Macedonia, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Slovenia, Portugal and Hungary) and won a number of prizes. Her experimental and documentary

films (Fisherman’s tale, The glamour and misery of goodwife Batinusa) represented Croatia several times on various cultural manifestations. Her short feature JMBG 0812983385073 (Identity Number 0812983385073) participated in the program called ‘Young Croatian Video’ in Home Gallery in Prague, 2003, as the work by one of the most eminent Croatian young filmmakers. Film Work in progress (2005) was selected as one of the best experimental films from recent production to represent Croatia at The experimental film festival in Madrid, 2006. Her documentary Fire, water, flour won first prize at The European environmental and arts festival (EEAF) in Scotland, 2007.
